PT Kasongan Bumi Kencana is developing a modern Gold Mine in Central Kalimantan, due for commissioning by the end of 2011. It wants to build up its professional management team in the Jakarta Head Office and on site with the following Administration positions :

METALLURGIST - DEGREE

Position :

• Junior Metallurgist
• Senior Metallurgist Technician
• Plant Metallurgist

Report to  : Senior Metallurgist

Job Location : Mirah Site, Kalimantan

Requirements :

• Bachelor Degree in Metallurgical Engineering
• Experience in Gold Processing is preferred
• Good verbal and written English language skills
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Internet

Specific Requirements :

SENIOR METALLURGIST TECHNICIAN

• Minimum 3-5 years as a mineral processing technician, flotation and/or leaching test work experience is a requirement
• Carry out routine mettallurgical test work and reporting
• Plant sampling, surveys and research
• Maintenance of stock/sample and ensuring they are kept at prescribed levels
• Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Ability to distinguish between colours

PLANT METALLURGIST

• 1-2 years in gained in production metallurgical role within the resource sector
• Tertiary qualifications in either Metallurgy or Mineral Processing
• Experience in gold processing is preferred
• Good verbal and written English language skills
• Knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Excell, Word, Outlook and Internet

Detailed Job Responsibilities :

• Assisting with plant commissioning and optimisationInvestigation of processing problems
• Effectively communicating with processing operations personnel, to ensure two-way knowledge and observations transfer on a day to day basis down floor level
• Liasing with the on-site geology team to ensure that mineral feedstock meets the targeted composition range for processing
• Overseeing/conducting metallurgical accounting
• Reviewing and evaluating technical results and day-to-day plant perfomance
• Ensuring that process control systems are calibrated and programming is optimized
