Piping SuperintendentPosition Wanted: Piping Superintendent (Expat)
Roles and Responsibilities:- Supervise and control the construction, installation and hook-up activities of Contractors toascertain that the plant will be built as per specifications, approved drawings and procedures.- To be responsible at Yard or Site, for the day to day Supervision and Quality Control of structural /piping / QC activities, including NDE..- Ensure that Contractors have adequate equipment and manpower to perform the job.- Eensure that Contractors are following all the Company rules in matters of Safety and Environment.
Activities:- Organizes and supervises the work of the Supervisors (supervisors & NDE inspectors) under hisresponsibility.- Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers and Third Party staff, if any, during the performance of the works.- Report daily to Company Site Representative.- Hand over the Plant to Commissioning team especially at the end of piping pre-commissioning.- To coordinate with other Company’s department activities involved in these disciplines.- To liaise with Company’s specialists to ensure all aspects of engineering problems are solved not todelay works.- To motivate and oversee his Yard/Site supervision team.- To define clearly delegate actions and responsibilities and deliverable requirements in term ofscope and schedule to the team he supervise- To coordinate (technical, planning) with Commissioning team on the above disciplines.- To provide answer, in coordination with Company’s engineering team, to technical queries /relaxation requests related to his disciplines raised by Contractor to Company.- To make sure all QC documents submitted by Contractors are reviewed and signed daily by histeam.- To ensure the good quality of the work, the compliance with Company and Project specifications.- The work load requires a continuous availability in order to take immediate action in case ofunexpected problems, in particular regarding QC .- To ensure the timely completion of works, and closely follow work schedule/progress.- To ensure good reporting to hierarchy.- To maintain good working relationship with all parties.Health, Safety & Environment- To perform complete adherence to Company HSE.- To demonstrate a constant attention to safety matters specially when working in operation areas, ornear production area.- To motivate in term of HSE his Yard/Site supervision team.- The job requires continuous responsibility in order to take immediate action of unexpected problemsin safety.
Minimum Qualification / Expérience:- Engineering degree.- Typically 15 years relevant experience abroad within project teams of a similar nature.- Recognized level of expertise in the following areas construction, platform installation, hook up,safety, planning, project team management.- Fluent spoken and written English.
