Two of its subsidiaries, Sterling Investments Corporation Pvt. Ltd., and Cyrus Investments Ltd., together hold the bulk of the Mistry family’s 18.49% shareholding in Tata Sons Ltd. The Mistrys are the largest single private shareholder in Tata Sons Ltd, which is the holding Company of the prestigious Tata Group. These subsidiaries also own and control AFCONS Infrastructure Ltd. About 95% of AFCONS’ shareholding is owned by SPCL and the remaining by employees and employees’ trusts.The Group is planning to set up a thermal Power Plant in the western cost of India and has planned to develop a port at Simar in the state of Gujrat. The proposed power plant is supposed to be commission by Sept. 2013 having combined capacity of 1320 MW (660MW x2 units) power generation, which itself will require about 4 million tonnes of coal per annum. For the power plant, the group is securing coal resources out side India with a reserve of about 250 Million tonnes, preferably from Indonesia and Mozambique.

Job profile:
- Good knowledge of Coal exploration techniques, geological & outcrop mapping, borehole logging, core sampling and analysis of the coal samples.
- Knowledge of Mining Software for preparation of geological database for the generation of mine plan and detailed grade-wise reserve of the coal deposit.
- Experience of using mining and exploration softwares viz. ArcGIS, Mapinfo, Minex, Vulcan etc to manage and plot exploration data for commercial evaluation of th e project.
Key Roles:
- Conducting exploration and managing exploration sites and capable of assessing coal assets/mines through site visits and the given information from the coal IUP owner.
- Ensure all requisite permits for exploration and mining of the coal in addition to timely submission of related Returns/Reports provisioned by various laws applicable to coal mining and Environment Activities in Indonesia.
