URGENTLY REQUIRED
We are a national company of General Contractor & Construction in tunnel railways project is seeking potential candidates for the following position :
Surveyor for Track Panels Laying, Track Adjustment & Lining, Track Depot Works(Papua)Responsibilities:
- Execute daily operations of Survey Section
- Hierarchically attached to CIP4 Construction Team. Reports to Senior Surveyor
- Executes field survey work including but not limited to:
- Responsible for ensuring safety is integral to all survey works carried out by his team
- Acts as Person In Charge as defined by the track access system as required
- Maintains discipline of Chainmen under his charge, especially relating to attendance and works train safety
- Acts as site First Aider following appropriate certification if required
- Liases daily with Construction department Site Superintendents to determine minor adjustments to survey requirements and reports these to survey management
- Carries out necessary office calculations relating to his team’s work as required
- Follows defined survey methodology and advises management if improvements can be made
- Responsible for ensuring instrumentation under his carry is properly maintained and calibrated
- Takes his place on the Survey Section’s roster for cover of work during unsociable hours and delivering Toolbox Talks.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years track construction survey experience
- Shall hold a recognised Diploma in Surveying (or acceptable equivalent)
- Conversant with and physically able to work in tunnel environments with temperatures up to 45˚C and relative humidity up to 95%
- Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Excel to calculate survey data
- Ready worked in Papua
