DRILLING ENGINEER

POSITION PURPOSE

The Drilling Engineer will be responsible for well development programmes including equipment specification, contracting and selection, AFE generation, development of cenceptual drilling and completion designs and final drilling including equipment specification and selection for all types of pilot, development and production gas wells. He will also provide onsite supervision and assistance to lower the total operating costs through to the end of completion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage drilling operations by providing both technical and operational guidance.

Lead and manage workover operations by providing both technical and operational guidance.

Conduct regular performance reviews of the drilling and workover operations.

Implement new drilling and completions technology to complement Dart's strategic direction.

Maximise drilling efficiency and productivity

Compilation of well reports on drilling, completion or well intervention

Review of drilling / completion performance to identify the effectiveness of design.

Implementation of remediation programs where appropriate.

HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT (is a mandatory)

Actively support Dart's commitment to occupational health and safety and the environment, including :

• Adopting standard safe work practices and procedures in accordance with Dart' safety policies.
• Eliminating or reporting workplace hazards, taking part in safety drills and other activities and supporting the work of safety representatives and committees.
• Conducting activities in accordance with Dart's environmental policies, codes and guidelines, in particular minimising energy and material usage in the workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering degree and drilling and completion engineering experience.

EXPERIENCES

• Hands on drilling operations experience on the rigite.
• Experience designing well designs and well proposals.
• Experience in coordinating with external bodies BP MIGAS and MIGAS
• Experience in planning, coordinating and organising projects and operations
• Knowledge of HSSE responsibilities, commitment to attend relevant HSSE training and the ability to implement HSSE policies and programmes.
